Join us for a conversation at the Nova Exhibition – Chicago, featuring advocate and student organizer Taryn Thomas in dialogue with Professor Craig Klugman of DePaul University, an advocate for Jewish students on campus.
Taryn spent her time at Stanford University organizing student protest movements and encampments. But after visiting the Nova Exhibition, her understanding of a conflict she thought she knew was profoundly reshaped, shattering the echo chamber she had lived within. A year later, she stood at Stanford’s October 7th vigil to share how the experience transformed her perspective.
Together, Taryn and Professor Klugman will explore how perspectives shift, how empathy takes root, and how one changed mind can ripple outward.
Join us on Monday, November 24th in Chicago for Voices of Resilience series, featuring:
Rom Tzabar, Nova survivor
Rom will share his story of survival at the Nova Music Festival and his path towards healing on the months following.
We are honored to welcome Eliya Cohen and Ziv Abud as featured speakers on Wednesday, November 26th. Eliya was kidnapped from the Nova Music Festival and held hostage in Gaza for 505 days. His story is one of unimaginable endurance, courage, and the will to survive. Ziv is both a survivor of the Nova massacre and a bereaved family member. Through their personal stories of pain, strength, and hope, Eliya and Ziv offer powerful insight into the lasting impact of October 7th and the resilience of the human spirit.
